How Does My Child Become a Patient?
For Newborns
If your family is already established in our office, just call after your new addition has arrived to schedule their first appointment. If your family is new to our office, please call prior to birth to check insurance panels then call after baby is born to add them as a new patient and get your first appointment scheduled prior to your hospital discharge. We will send new patient paperwork electronically so that you can complete that prior to your arrival at your appointment.
For New Families Transferring to Us
Our goal is to provide the best medical care for your children. To do this successfully, we must be able to review all of your children's medical records from all providers that your children have seen. It is best if we can get prior growth records, immunization records and medication information prior to your first appointment.
Please be aware that under federal (HIPAA) and state laws, your previous medical provider may charge a "reasonable, cost-based fee" to copy your childrens medical records. This cost is your responsibility. This fee may be waived if records are sent directly to our office.
For Patients Who Need to be Seen for Walk-In Care
At Thompson River Pediatrics and Urgent Care we understand that your sick child needs to be seen when they are sick and sometimes sickness happens before you make it to your next well-check appointment. If your child needs to be seen for a sick appointment, please call our office to schedule a same day appointment or walk-in at a time that works for you. We will have you fill out new patient paperwork as you arrive and get your child seen as soon as possible.
We look forward to meeting you and your family.
