Amber Griffin, Thompson River's CEO, graduated from Boise State University. Using her extensive business experience, she keeps the practice running smoothly.

In her role at Thompson River, she oversees the financials, billing, marketing, human resources, safety and long-term goals of the practice. Understanding the needs of parents when they come to the doctor's office, she is dedicated to making each child's and parent's experience positive and memorable.

Amber believes that it's the little things, beyond what is expected, that make big, positive impacts. Children remember special moments and parents appreciate their tough jobs being made a little easier by someone taking the time to make their child a little less nervous, happier and cared for, which will pay dividends in follow-up care.

Amber has four children, one of whom is on the autism spectrum, and has extensive experience visiting physicians' and specialists' offices over the last 24 years. She understands that seeing patients in a timely manner is very important when your child has special needs. She has designed the office to be comfortable and sensory friendly for the patients instead of scary and intimidating.

If she has any spare time she enjoys spending it with her husband, grown children and their dog Hilde. She also enjoys golfing, crocheting and being in the mountains!
